Malaysia weather is characterized by its hot, humid tropical conditions, with abundant amounts of equatorial influences due to the country’s positioning near the equator. The lowlands enjoy comparable temperatures, but pursue a more characteristic rainfall pattern and experience very high humidity levels. The highlands are cooler and major rainfall occurs, the area exhibiting a bigger temperature variation. Clouds hover over the highlands, which keep humidity levels high and not allowing them to fall below 75%.
